Gender Pay Information Regulations 2016 delayed

The regulations governing gender pay gap reporting were initially intended to be published this summer and to come into force in October of this year, however, the Government Equalities Office has now announced that the regulations are likely to be put before Parliament later this year with a view to them coming into force in April 2017.  Despite this delay, it seems that the previously proposed reporting date of 30th April (each year) will be unlikely to change and thus private and public sector employers will still be required to publish their first annual gender pay gap report at the end of April 2018.

Although the response to the consultation on the draft regulations is yet to be published, it has been confirmed that the final regulations will not be included in the consultation response.
