Less red tape for employers?

The government has invited UK businesses for their input on employment related law, bureaucracy and red tape in the latest phase of the Employment Law Review. Over the next three weeks the 'Red Tape Challenge' will review different cross-Government employment related regulations that challenge UK businesses.

The campaign asks for suggestions on how regulations can be improved, simplified or even abolished, whilst maintaining the status quo and ensuring that the current standard of employment rights are not eroded. This may all seem a little ironic given that the Agency Regulations have just come into force, which many employers and commentators feel are only going to be bad for business...
