POSTPONEMENT OF PARENTAL LEAVE

Dear

RE: PARENTAL LEAVE

[As previously discussed,] you are due to take parental leave between [date] and [date]. Unfortunately, your absence at this time would unduly disrupt the business because [the work is at a seasonal peak; a significant proportion of the workforce has applied for parental leave at this same time; a replacement would not be able to be put in place within the notice period provided or, the employee’s role is such that his or her absence at a particular time would harm the business].

Instead, we are happy for you to take this parental leave between [date] and [date].

If you wish to amend the date on which you start your parental leave you must, where possible, give me at least 28 days notice before either the new start date or your original start date i.e. [date leave starts], whichever is sooner.
