Consultation with trade union or pre-existing employee representatives only

Suggested procedure for collective consultation with trade union (TU) or pre-existing employee representatives (ERs) only. 

This procedure assumes all staff affected by the transfer are within the bargaining unit(s) for which the TU is recognised and/or are represented by one of the ERs, so elections for ERs are not needed.  Refer to separate checklist for use in situations where there is no TU or pre-existing ERs.

This is for general guidance only and advice should be sought on individual situations.
