Equal opportunities at work checklist

Filed Under: Discrimination - Checklists | Published on: Tuesday, 17 January 2012 03:24 PM
1.  Does each job have a job specification prepared prior to recruitment, which is consistent with the requirements of the job?

2. Are there any potentially discriminatory criteria, i.e. position full time; limits on the worker`s age or years of experience. If, so can you objectively justify their use?

3.  Do your attraction methods ensure that vacancies are fairly advertised. For example, if you advertise in limited circulation magazines/journals or only by word of mouth, your vacancies will be less likely to attract a diverse range of applicants.
