Work and Families Act 2006

In February 2005 the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) (now the Department for Business and Regulatory Reform (DBERR)), issued a consultation paper on a number of proposals to help provide workers with more choice about balancing their work and family commitments. The Work and Families Act 2006, is the first step towards delivery of some of the measures set out in the Government response to the consultation, Work and Families: Choice and Flexibility, which was published in October 2005.
