Redundancy

When an employer wishes to terminate an employee’s contract of employment by way of redundancy there are several important considerations.  Firstly the reason for the redundancy must fall within the reasons set out in current UK legislation, secondly a proper procedure must be followed, and thirdly the appropriate redundancy payment must be made to the employee.
