If you are an EU national or a non-EU family member of an EU national then you can register to enter the public test phase of the EU Settlement Scheme which opens today. Unfortunately, citizens of Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland will not be able to apply until the Scheme fully opens on 30 March 2019.

If you have an EU national ID or passport or alternatively if you are a non-EU family member who holds a biometric residence card then you can apply under the Scheme.  You can apply through the EU Exit: Identity Document Check app, which will require you to use an Android phone to scan your ID documents.

The public test phase is vital to ascertain how the system is performing and to iron out any issues which may arise prior to rolling out the scheme fully on 30 March 2019.
