Purpose and scope

The Company will always try to avoid the need for compulsory redundancies, however we are aware that sometimes such action is necessary.

The purpose of this policy is to confirm and communicate the Company’s redundancy procedures and policy to enable employees understand the process and ensure that all employees are treated fairly.

This policy does not form part of employees’ contracts of employment and the Company may amend it at any time.

This policy has been [agreed OR implemented following consultation] with the [[TRADE UNION] OR [WORKS COUNCIL] OR [STAFF ASSOCIATION]].

This policy applies to employees only. It does not apply to agency workers, consultants, volunteers or interns…
