UK Immigration: What to expect in 2026 for employers

20 Jan 26

The UK’s immigration system has undergone significant changes starting on 22 July 2025. These ongoing amendments will transform how employers manage their international workforce and ensure immigration compliance. Join our UK immigration specialists, Ruth Karimatsenga and Monica Mastropasqua, as they explore the key updates and how they affect your business in 2026.

Topics discussed will include:

  • Right to Work Reforms: Changes to Right to Work Reform, which will extend to non-employee workers, self-employed contractors, and online job matching platforms.
  • Right to Work Checks and Compliance: The importance of right to work checks/compliance (RTW), along with the necessity of conducting periodical audits.
  • Immigration Skills Charge: A 32% increase in the Immigration Skills Charge starting from 16th December 2025, which will have implications for employers and global recruitment.
  • Minimum Salary Assessments for Skilled Workers: Changes to minimum salary assessments for Skilled Workers.
  • Earned Settlement: Since the publication of the Earned Settlement system, we have been receiving a surge in queries about its potential impacts, including whether there will be transitional arrangements and how people already in the system may be affected.

The webinar will last approximately 45 minutes. If you have any questions or issues registering online, please email marketing@clarkslegal.com.

We look forward to you joining us on 20th January. Can’t make it? Register here, and we will send you the recording.
