Part time workers factsheet

Factsheet containing full regulations on part-time working including less favourable treatment, comparable to full time, contract, training, benefits, overtime, holidays, dismissal and remedies.

Regulations

The Part-time Workers (Prevention of Less Favourable Treatment) Regulations 2000 (the “Regulations”) aim to ensure that part-time workers are treated no less favourably than comparable full-time workers unless this is justified on objective grounds.

The Regulations apply to part-time ‘workers’ and are not just limited to employees.
