Checklist for supporting transitioning individuals at work.
Everyone has the right to define their own identity without fear of any form of discrimination, bullying, harassment or victimisation. This checklist is designed to assist employers in supporting individuals, such as employees and workers, at work who are transitioning.
- Arrange a meeting with the individual so that you can listen, understand and support them. What are their plans? What support do they want from you? Be aware that no two situations will be exactly the same. You should follow the individual’s lead and adopt an approach that meets their needs.
